Welcome to GATCA WA’s Tutor / Mentor Service
Only university students studying full time are listed on this page.
2018 graduate from JohnXXIII College after studying ATAR level subjects Mathematics Methods, Mathematics Specialists, Physics, Chemistry and English Literature. I am a UWA Engineering at UWA .
I have experience working with children through running GATCA courses as well as tutoring both primary and secondary math and science; and enjoy finding new ways to convey topics students are struggling with, so they can understand and enjoy their own achievement.
I can tutor high school math, physics and chemistry; as well as all areas of primary school content.
I have learnt very valuable methods of teaching from my tutors, and have seen them work for me (as I managed to achieve a predicted ATAR of 99.90) and many other students. I simply want to convey my knowledge to motivated students of any age at an affordable price.
I will teach Maths, English, Computing and Science
I’ve previously had teaching experiences in Yiprinya School, Alice Springs and the Cambodian Children’s Fund, Phnom Penh. I hold a provisional driver’s license and a Working with Children Check. My main academic interests for tutoring would be biology, physics, chemistry or maths. I can also teach drawing, and I have experience with computing. I would be enthusiastic to be considered for a tutoring role.
Bio: I graduated Perth Modern School in 2013 and topped the state in English that year. I am currently pursuing my dreams, studying a double major of film and economics at Columbia University in New York City. During high school I was an active member of my community, serving as the founder and president of my school’s volunteers club and running a non-profit video production service. In my experience as a student of the GATE program, G&T students require a unique and structured program focussing beyond academics and concentrating on interpersonal and leadership skills in order to get the most out of their abilities. I look forward to helping your G&T child develop these skills and encouraging them to excel.

I also tutor in english, having completed ATAR with strong A’s in the subject. My specialties in english are literary analysis, and the writing process for both essays and creative pieces. Overall, in English, I hope to help those having issues with writing structure, using and examining narrative or persuasive techniques, or are just looking for support with developing their general writing skills.
I prefer to tutor at the state library, however my tutoring locations are negotiable. I hope to not only develop the skills of G&T students, but to also encourage them in these subjects.
